    THE ROLE

Reporting to the NZ Finance Manager, this role also has a close working relationship with the overseas based Global IT team.  Working within a robust Global IT strategy you will be responsible for ensuring the NZ team understands and operates within the global IT policies, systems and processes.  You will be the “go-to person” on the right process to use and to resolve IT issues and requests.

  •

This role calls for an IT professional with a strong blend of both technical and interpersonal skills.  You will be focused on providing the best customer experience to NZ staff, responding to incidents and requests with on-going seamless delivery.   The role is a mixture of managing and directing external support, either via the Global IT team or undertaking the work yourself, to helping teams best utilise existing technology, as well as investigating new technology to advance the business.

  •
  •

You will provide a wide range of front-line technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to network, hardware, software, peripherals, and document management.   This includes a mix of help desk, user administration, hardware management, testing, analysis, reporting, training and special project work.

    YOU

Your key attribute is a strong natural focus on customer service and providing a great user experience.  As an ‘IT all-rounder’, you can multi-task and set clear priorities.  You will have a broad set of IT experience & skills, be flexible and adaptable, willing, and able to work on a diverse range of tasks.  You have strong troubleshooting skills, and while you can work autonomously, you enjoy being part of a small close team.

  •

To be successful in this role you will possess several of the following:

  •

    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking to the level where you can diagnose an issue accurately.  You don’t need to have the technical hands-on experience to resolve all issues as support is available from the internal Global IT team.
    • Service delivery management capability to build strong relationships with the Global IT team and other vendors to manage and direct them to provide IT services to the level NZ staff require.
    • Capability to provide applications support and training for the Microsoft 365 Office environment and other key business applications.
    • Capability to provide Sharepoint administration, customisation, security and permission settings.
    • Ability to run SQL Queries and Reports, with exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI would be viewed favourably.
    • Providing support to staff to resolve IT issues in a quick and efficient manner.
    • Recording, tracking and documenting all service requests and issues, including the decisions made, actions taken, and resolutions achieved.
    • Being hands-on in fixing desktop issues, including the installation of hardware upgrades to desktop software, and configuring systems and applications.

    ON OFFER

  •
    • The autonomy of being the key NZ based IT person while having the benefit of working within a clear global IT strategy and network of IT professionals from the parent company.
    • Working with modern technology, moving towards a cloud environment.
    • An idyllic rural location with a great company culture.
