The Seed Production Manager is responsible for the planning, procurement and supervision of all aspects of the planting, growing, harvesting and processing of the Company’s proprietary forage crops, both in New Zealand and overseas, to meet planned demand requirements. They lead a team of seed production specialists, supporting them to achieve the Company’s seed production quantity and quality targets.
As a member of the company’s senior management team this role also involves bringing strategic thinking and analytical skills to the table to contribute to setting business direction for Barenbrug Agriseeds. The role has a high degree of autonomy however, it must be undertaken in a way that aligns with Barenbrug Agriseeds values. Further, relationship management is critical, as there are many interactions with a variety of different stakeholders.
This position is based at Barenbrug Agriseeds’ research farm and head office at Courtenay.
