Pasture Weeds

Controlling weeds during establishment is important to set up a new pasture. In older pastures, a high weed population usually indicates poor grass growth.

Annual poa, barley grass and bathurst bur
Buttercup, Californian thistle and chickweed
Dandelion, dock and fathen
Hedge mustard, horehound and mallow
Nettle, nightshade and nodding thistle
Oxeye daisy, pennyroyal and redroot
Scotch thistle, soft brome and sheep’s sorrel
Shepherds purse, speedwell and spurrey
Stinking mayweed, storksbill and thorn apple
Twin cress, willow weed and winged thistle
Wireweed, yarrow and yorkshire fog
